Job Description:
This Territory Sales Manager role is focused on growing our wireless module & SOM/SBC business in the North Central US (MI, IL, WI, MN, ND, SD, IA, OH, IN, W. PA). Directly manage and drive activities at assigned direct accounts & distributors in such a way to meet planned goals and growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
Develop territory strategy to grow sales pipeline & revenue within assigned region – including direct sales & distribution sales through demand creation distributors.
Collaborate with distributors and internal sales teams to understand customer requirements, qualify new opportunities, propose products & services, and grow incremental revenue.
Explain the technical & commercial value proposition of company products to customers and identify how the product will solve customer pain points.
Work with product management & engineering to provide appropriate product recommendations and customization for customers; Additionally, provide customer/market feedback to drive product roadmap.
Instruct, train, and grow mindshare at distributors & silicon partners to enable their selling of the company’s products and services.
Prepare and deliver product presentations focused on differentiation and value proposition to current and prospective customers.
Partner with customers & distributors to develop and enter revenue forecast at direct and distribution accounts at regular intervals.
Maintain accurate up-to-date CRM system including leads, opportunities, and accounts.
Requirements:
Ability to learn technical product knowledge of wireless modules, SOM/SBCs, internal antennas and IOT sensors/gateways.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate on all levels within internal and external groups.
Detail-oriented and excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Proven time management skills to prioritize the most important sales activities against competing internal & external inputs.
Experience working with demand creation electronics distributors preferred.
Experience using CRM such as SalesForce preferred.
Travel up to 50% within assigned territory.
Education/Experience:
BA or higher degree or prior work experience in lieu of formal education.
