Our client is a major critical communications provider with an excellent reputation and over 40 years in business. They provide technical services, infrastructure and maintenance to customers in public safety, utilities, transportation and federal government.

Position:

We are in need of an experienced Land Mobile Radio Systems Engineer for long-term projects in the State of Washington. This is a permanent employment position with full benefits including: Company Vehicle, Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401k with matching, PTO, and ongoing technical training. The Systems Engineer (SE) will be the Technical Leader on land mobile radio system projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, the SE will own the technical aspect of the system after contract award through customer acceptance. This customer-facing position includes responsibility for final design and equipment selection, as-built documentation, implementation, factory and on-site installation and system testing optimization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar technical degree
• 5 years + of System Engineering experience for LMR Systems.
• Willing to travel domestically (up to ~50% travel based on location and project need)
• Experience working with RF, system design, networking, configuration, system programming
• Current CompTIA, CCNA, GSEC, or SSCP certification is a plus.
• Design and field experience in system integration, Network Assurance/Security, Network Deployments, Land Mobile Radio Systems consisting of Base Station Repeaters, Interoperability Gateway, RF, Dispatch, fixed, mobile and portable radio operation and programming.
• Working knowledge in Networking, Wireless Communications, Fiber Optic, T1, MPLS, Microwave and Radio Coverage Analysis and verification.
• Knowledge of virtual machine servers, software application and installation, Windows Server and Linux server operating systems.
• Strong presentation skills.
