Our client is a well-established company providing Infrastructure Deployment Services to the Telecommunications Industry, from A&E to Site Acquisition to Construction Services. The Safety Manager will develop and implement Safety programs and procedures and document processes, including providing safety training of employees.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control audits of all installation and repair work, ensuring safety compliance as outlined by company and OSHA directives
- Review potential subcontractors safety policies, procedures, and safety performance
- Ensure the Safety Plan is understood and implemented by all Project Managers and subcontractors
- Conduct accident investigations and incident reports as needed
- Develop and conduct employee safety and health training programs
- Conduct detailed site safety and health inspections
- Manage project security contracts, programs and policies
- Review, implement, and improve Safety Manual Policies and procedures
- Maintain client systems and questionnaires for Compliance
- Write detailed injury/illness reports
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
- Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience as a Safety Manager in cell site deployments
- Experience as a Tower Climber/Technician
- Strong knowledge of OSHA Federal Regulations, state and local safety regulations, policies and procedures (Required)
- Must be fully proficient MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook (Required)
- OSHA 500 and OSHA 510 certifications preferred
- Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
- Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to travel regionally, typically a few days at a time
