Description:

Our client is a well-established company providing Infrastructure Deployment Services to the Telecommunications Industry, from A&E to Site Acquisition to Construction Services. The Safety Manager will develop and implement Safety programs and procedures and document processes, including providing safety training of employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control audits of all installation and repair work, ensuring safety compliance as outlined by company and OSHA directives
  • Review potential subcontractors safety policies, procedures, and safety performance
  • Ensure the Safety Plan is understood and implemented by all Project Managers and subcontractors
  • Conduct accident investigations and incident reports as needed
  • Develop and conduct employee safety and health training programs
  • Conduct detailed site safety and health inspections
  • Manage project security contracts, programs and policies
  • Review, implement, and improve Safety Manual Policies and procedures
  • Maintain client systems and questionnaires for Compliance
  • Write detailed injury/illness reports
  • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
  • Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
  • Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience as a Safety Manager in cell site deployments
  • Experience as a Tower Climber/Technician
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA Federal Regulations, state and local safety regulations, policies and procedures (Required)
  • Must be fully proficient MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook (Required)
  • OSHA 500 and OSHA 510 certifications preferred
  • Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
  • Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
  • Excellent organizational and motivational skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to travel regionally, typically a few days at a time
