Role Overview:
A Product Development Engineer is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of engineering solutions to grow the company’s product offerings for its customers. We are seeking a highly skilled individual to support the optimization of current products and lead development efforts of new products, including thermal management and heat rejection systems. The Product Development Engineer will report to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Responsibilities and Objectives:
Conceptualize new product ideas including prototypes fabrication, testing and data processing to quantify performance metrics.
Evaluate products throughout the design process to troubleshoot any operational issues, and as needed, fine-tune their designs to improve performance, while being cost-effective.
Sample different materials, manufacturing processes, design tolerances, and other factors to find the best ones that suit new products.
Deliver product specifications and procedures for manufacturing purposes, as well as coordinate certification process of new products.
Support the activities to develop quality control criteria and safety guidelines to be followed by all team members.
Analyze existing products to identify areas for improvement, update technical documentation and reference designs.
Perform research to understand the competitive landscape and contribute to discussions on go-to-market strategies for products across the data center market segments.
Support business development and sales teams in customers’ calls or meetings explaining product features and value propositions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related fields.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control protocols.
Experience in building experimental setups and implementing measurement techniques to assess performance.
Proficient with CAD software programs and report writing programs.
Strong communication, teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
D. in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related fields.
Knowledge of multi-phase heat transfer mechanisms, as well as liquid cooling implementations for electronics, including active and passive thermal management systems.
Knowledge of MATLAB, Python, C/C++ or other programming languages.
