Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in network engineering to join the technical support team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, deep technical knowledge in networking, and the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently. Expertise in Voice over IP applications is not required but would be desirable. This role involves troubleshooting network-related issues, providing technical support to customers, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to customers via phone, email, and through the help desk system.
  • Diagnose and resolve network-related issues including connectivity problems, routing, switching, and firewall configurations.
  • Assist customers with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of network devices and systems.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level technical support or engineering teams when necessary.
  • Document all customer interactions and technical solutions in the support ticketing system.
  • Educate customers on best practices for network security and optimization.
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve support processes and share knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and industry trends.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance technical skills and customer service techniques.
  • Willing to travel to perform on-site training, attend trade shows and assist sales teams with customer facing applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or a similar technical support role.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs.
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and software (e.g., network monitoring tools).
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding service.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with VoIP systems and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of wireless networking and security protocols.
  • Familiarity with network management tools and software.
  • Experience in a call center or customer service environment
