New Job Opportunity: Field Application Engineer – Channel – East Coast

Description:

The successful candidate for this position will work in our existing application engineering team in the USA, and provide technical solutions during both the design-in and post-sales phases to our channel customers. The candidate will help customers supported by manufacturer representatives along with distribution channels fully utilize the performance capabilities of our products. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and willing to learn about and experiment with new products, services and concepts.

Functions:

• Support designated Regional Channel Manager assigned accounts working with manufacturer representatives and distribution channel customers during the design-in and post-sales phase
• Support channel partners and Manufacturers Reps account base
• Work closely with the RCM, manufacturer representatives and distribution partners to close new business opportunities in assigned regions
• Resolve technical issues in customer products
• Give technical training sessions to existing and prospective customers, representatives and distributors
• Perform in-depth testing and analysis of new products
• Provides technical market feedback to R&D and Product Management at HQ
• Performs occasional technical competition analysis if required
• Decides in support issues in consent with the responsible Regional Account Director and distribution partner
• Decides on escalation of cases to Technical Manager
• Maintenance of laboratory infrastructure

Profile:

• Authorized to work in the US for any employer
• Bachelor/Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
• At least 5 years of supporting mixed signal (RF/Digital) customer applications
• Knowledge of wireless communication systems, including GSM, UMTS, and LTE
• Ideally experience with GNSS, RF design, and embedded software development
• Distribution and channel experience is a plus
• General software knowledge is considered an additional asset
• Excellent communications and management skills
• Occasional travel to national and international destination
