Description:
The Business Development Manager is a key position in the growth of our company. This role’s main focus is to identify new business opportunities, build relationships with clients, and develop sales strategies.
Responsibilities:
Effectively research and find new customers strategically with Dir. of Business Development.
Present the company business model/solution to selected customers throughout the US.
Engage in the strategic selling process by developing customer intimacy by securing trust and productive relationships with all key decision makers.
Document in the CRM needs and wants, pain points, and strategic direction of customer needs.
Understand competitive landscape including current solutions and level of relationships with the customer.
Develop, communicate and gain approval of account plans to meet the strategic objectives.
Provide new customers with accurate price quotations with required gross margin.
Ensure business cases are understood and validated; and that pilot projects are designed, project planned, contractors trained, and materials delivered to customers in a timely manner.
Serve as liaison between key customers and internal teams while representing company as the prime contact on contracts and projects.
Resolve issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
Submit regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders.
Represent HUS at industry forums and corporate with Product Management and Marketing through activities like white papers, webinars, podcasts, and business case development.
Deliver accurate sales forecast and associated materials supply forecast for new customers.
Work with Dir. of Business Development to agree and sign off on sales budget.
Ensure smooth transition to Strategic Account Manager once customer is fully secured.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Proven success in the strategic selling process and recommending solutions based on customer requirement.
Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships across all organizational levels.
Ability to solve problems as well as negotiation interacting with new customers.
Must be able to travel within the US and some limited international travel – up to 40%.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering preferred.
Five (5) years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, or Customer Service Role. Preferably within the Telecom industry.
Skills Desired:
Microsoft proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Excellent communication skills (email, verbal, group)
Computer literacy using Linkedin and CRM
Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
