We are currently representing an excellent Principal Software Algorithm Scientist for ID or Gaming, who has fifteen years of experience in signal/data/image/video processing algorithm development.

Some of his accomplishments include:

• Major strength is system structure design: Led a project in DUOS technologies (printed table recognition). Prior to involvement, project had passed the due date with the performance far below the user’s specification. Requirement was a recognition rate higher than 90%, the company had only obtained around 80%. Redesigned system, adding a core algorithm to do the table detection and recovery etc. Within 2 months, the performance was pushed up to 97%. Customer paid additional half of the project fund.
• Container ID recognition project for the Singapore Port Authority (SPA): reduced processing speed from 43 seconds to 17 seconds for each truck/container. This improved the input/output speed of the SPA greatly.
• Vehicle license plate recognition job Land Transport Authority of Singapore and Singapore Traffic Police. Goal was to recognize Malaysia vehicle license plate, matching it to Traffic Police database; if matched, Police would stop the driver to pay the fine before he left Singapore to Malaysia. After six months, System performed at 80% accuracy, earning back the LTA investment (S$300,000). Upon project completion – 98% accuracy.
