Experience Summary:

We are currently representing an excellent Engineering Product Leader, who has over twenty years experience in manufacturing engineering.

Some of his accomplishments include:

• Led the engineering team for handset manufacturer’s first successful domestic digital telephone, which sold 500K units per month. This phone reinstated the brand at Verizon and Sprint, which had been downgraded due to its failure to deliver winning digital phones.
• Drove the acceptance of handset manufacturer’s first touch screen device using third party software. This device employed Symbian and was the first with a large, touch-user interface, WLAN and GPS. It was the company’s first device in the 3G space and paved the way for future Android based third party software offerings.
• Was responsible for all engineering aspects of major healthcare’s $100MM magnetic resonance surface coil subsidiary including new product development and sustaining engineering. In the NPI arena, drove the two most ambitious surface coil suites in the company’s history, which changed the competitive game according to the Premium product manager. Saved millions of dollars of service expense by targeting root cause analysis of failures and using the CAPA system to eliminate the problems.
• Led integrated hardware and software teams in the development of every portable phone targeted for the Japanese market for a major, handset manufacturer. Understands software requirement creation, defect remediation and all aspects of software testing.
