Summary:
The principal purpose of this job is to achieve planned HDPE conduit and duct sales and profit margin in the assigned region by managing the sale engagement and services. Primarily responsible to facilitate the selection, hire and training manufacturers’ representatives to achieve goals in territory and establish direct end user account relationships. This position requires travel throughout the territory and meeting with new and existing clients as well as coordinating and exhibiting at regional/national trade shows. Hire and management of Regional Account Managers may be required in growth regions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist VP Sales & Marketing to create yearly budget and substantiation for figures rolling up the budget.
Plan, implement, and manage sales effort in assigned territory to reach or exceed budget. The primary objective of this position is to maximize conduit sales to a wide range of market applications from Residential, Power Utility, Cable TV, Broadband, Commercial & Industrial, Department of Transportation and the Telecommunication infrastructure markets in assigned territory both today and the future.
Creates and develops rapport with existing and potential customers.
Analyzes existing and anticipated customer requirements and promotes consideration of company products to fill such requirements.
Conducts briefings and technical meetings for top management as required.
Provide weekly communication of significant or consequential territory issues, including quotes, customer visits and shows. Maintain an understanding of all major Opportunities/Projects in territory through regular review (monthly at a minimum) of each manufacturer’s representative.
Interacts with equivalent level managers concerning matters of significance to the company.
Establish a positive rapport with all internal resources. Maintain sufficient product knowledge of products and their applications to recognize opportunities and communicate them internally to achieve maximum advantage.
Manage accounts and manufacturers’ reps over a multi-state territory – Meet and exceed projected territory YoY sales targets (Booking and Sales) while identifying new customers and gaining traction to win their business.
Track current market trends within the company and its competitors.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Excellent data interpretation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and customer relations skills, with strong organizational ability.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to target and prioritize key customers and/or opportunities.
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, balance multiple projects, and prioritize.
Proven track record of dealing with manufacturer representatives and distributors.
Proven track record of building relationships with potential accounts as well as effective collaboration with all levels of management within the organization
The job holder must be prepared to work unsociable hours as and when required, and travel to meet with customers, job sites, manufacturing sites and other employees.
Must be able to work effectively in an unstructured environment with minimum supervision.
Travel is required at times – Must be able to travel 50-75%
Ability to work as part of a team and lead direct reports.
Education and Experience:
Four (4) years’ working experience in sales, Regional Sales Management, or equivalent work experience.
BS or BA degree or equal years of relevant field or equivalent work experience
Experience in the sale of HDPE Conduit or adjacent products and services
Experience with dealing with manufacturer representatives and distributors
Skills Desired:
