Job Description:
The Product Manager (PM) will supervise the development of our hardware products to ensure customer satisfaction. The duties of this role will include conducting market research, working with multi-functional teams and overseeing the life cycle of our hardware products. The selected candidate must also be an excellent communicator and able to provide technical assistance to the sale team to accelerate closure of contracts. We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and analytical PM to join our team to take on a wide range of responsibilities and oversee the whole product life cycle, from building the first article to the final delivery to customers. This position will report to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and will be full time on-site at the company’s headquarters located in Melbourne, Florida.
Responsibilities:
Design and promote products across all the industry verticals, as well as act as project manager and technical interface between the marketing, research and development, sales teams and the customers.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive and support technical inquiries.
Participate in pre-sales and sales initiatives to define the appropriate solutions based on customers’ applications.
Develop, manage and lead the commercialization of our servers, racks and clusters through the full product life cycle.
Enhance functionalities of existing products, define new products and contribute to the roadmap discussions to excel in the market and align with the overall company objective and goals.
Develop project plans for our products in both hardware, firmware and software aspects, as well as lead and coordinate product release as per customers’ demand.
Deliver product specifications and procedures for manufacturing purposes, as well as coordinate certification process of new products.
Support the activities to develop quality control criteria and safety guidelines to be followed by all team members.
Analyze existing products to identify areas for improvement, update technical documentation and reference designs.
Perform research to understand the competitive landscape and contribute to discussions on go-to-market strategies for products across all the industry verticals.
Participate in voice of customer calls/meetings, along with the sales team, to gather feedback for further expansion of our product lines.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related fields.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control protocols.
Solid understanding of all data center products, including servers, storage platforms, networking equipment, power and cooling components.
Extensive knowledge of IT equipment protocols and topologies for deploying products in all the industry verticals.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing hardware and software product life cycle.
Experience in building experimental setups and implementing measurement techniques to assess performance.
Proficient with CAD software programs and report writing programs.
Knowledge of thermal management of data centers, including liquid cooling implementations for electronics (e.g., direct-to-chip and immersion cooling solutions).
Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills.
